In 2017, the Ontario Government announced that homeowners in the Windsor area would be able to make their homes more energy efficient. This was made possible because these homeowners could now qualify for rebates under a number of provincial programs. These rebates could be found by the company Energy Werx, and the home energy audit they can offer to Windsor homeowners.

Essentially, Energy Werx can pair homeowners with the appropriate Ontario Energy advisors to determine which rebates the homeowners can qualify for. From those rebates, Energy Werx can determine and advise Windsor homeowners which home projects could best reduce their consumption of energy. Homeowners can potentially save up to thousands of dollars from this energy reduction.

The home energy tests consist of using infrared cameras, complete blower door tests and air leak checks. Once home improvements are completed, Energy Werx will also provide a follow-up evaluation.

While Energy Werx will conduct the home energy audit to determine what rebates are applicable, Ontario energy will offer the rebates themselves. These can include (but are not limited to): air sealing improvements, furnace/boiler replacement, insulation upgrades and window, door and/or skylight replacements.
