In 2017, the Ontario Government announced that homeowners in the Cambridge Area who are looking to make energy efficient home renovations, could qualify for rebates under a number of provincial programs.
If you own a detached, semi-detached, row or mobile home and want to make your home more energy efficient and lower your electric bill, you could qualify to receive thousands of dollars in rebates.
Energy Werx pairs their Ontario Energy advisors with homeowners to figure out the rebates they qualify for and the projects that would best reduce their their energy consumption, through conducting a home energy audit. Tools like infrared cameras, complete blower door tests and other tests to check for air leaks are performed as part of the home energy testing. When the home improvements are complete, a follow up evaluation is done.
2019 Ontario Energy Rebates are available for the following:
- Insulation upgrades
- Air sealing improvements
- Window, door and skylight replacements
- Furnace / boiler replacement
- … and much more!
Union Gas and Enbridge, IESO and the Green Ontario fund are offering Cambridge residents rebates through the Ontario energy rebate program. This program was designed to make it more affordable for Kitchener homeowners to make environmentally-friendly choices to upgrade their homes.
